My Life Story

Carlos Villarreal

Introduction

Hi, I’m Carlos Villarreal and I help entrepreneurs and business owners to increase sales, scale the business, and have the fulfilling life they dreamed about when they began their journey.

I started my very own Coaching Business after being in the retail and corporate environment business for over 30 years.  I had the privilege of leading teams to perform at the highest levels by increasing revenue, scaling the business through processes, and helping to grow people’s careers as well as their personal lives.  In my last position I worked with Franchise and independent business owners to grow their business.

I have had the time of my life in working with many business owners and other clients to help them achieve their goals.

I could not have done this without the love and support of my beautiful wife, Patsy who is my rock and my entire life.

But…….How did I get here?

Growing Up…

I grew up as the oldest of three children to great parents with humble beginnings.  Up until the age of eight, our family of five lived with our grandmother in a tiny two bedroom, one bath home, the five of us lived in one of the bedrooms and my grandmother in the other.  When I was eight years old, my parents separated and we lived with our mother though our father was still very much in our lives and still is today.  My parents attempted to make their marriage work, but unfortunately, it didn’t and they got divorced years later.  Both of them were always there for us with support and giving us the best they could with so much love.

I was ambitious at a very young age and competitive playing sports through high school.  My parents were always saying we needed to make good grades, go to college, get educated, work hard, and get a good job.  After H.S. graduation, I started college and worked part-time for an athletic retail store.  I didn’t think college was for me so I quit and continued to work, my parents were really disappointed.  I know they were thinking how was I going to survive selling shoes at the mall.  I moved up quickly and at 19 years old, I was managing my first store.  I wanted to learn how to lead people at such a young age and started reading books and following mentors such as Zig Ziglar and Tony Robbins, where I learned about goal setting and gaining the confidence and mindset to get better results.  I continued to grow and perform and was promoted to my first District Manager position at the age of 24.  I ran a few districts and then went into the corporate office.  After 18 years at this company, I had the opportunity to work at a company working with Franchise and Independent owners as well as corporate stores helping them grow their business.

Life Would Never Be The Same – My Gift

On July 1, 2014 at 48 years old, I was diagnosed with Liver Disease.  I will never forget that day.

My wife and I left the doctor’s office and went home, we were just numb and sad, to say the very least.  Both of us couldn’t believe this.  How did this happen?  All of these thoughts were going through my mind! The hardest thing for me during this time was watching my wife hurt so much for me.  She had this worried look and I just wanted to take her pain away!

The cause of my liver disease after several tests was unknown.  Did I drink?  Sure, while I did drink in my early years, as I got older, it was more social.  Was it all of the unhealthy fast food I ate for many years being in retail and corporate when I didn’t make the time to eat healthy?

As I searched for answers, I asked myself, Why did this happen?  I prayed and asked God for answers.  One day, it became very clear to me.  This was given to me to overcome and share with others.  Life happens for us, NOT to us.

This has been my toughest challenge in life.  Despite this condition, I am the healthiest I have ever been without alcohol and eating a healthy diet where I am fueling my body, and working out.

I truly believe that my strong faith and past experience of being competitive, disciplined, solution minded, and optimistic, prepared me for this journey and to share my gift with others.

Fulfilling Life…

This life-changing event in my life made me re-evaluate how I lived in the past as well as what I still wanted to do in my future.  My passion for life and the experience to overcome any challenge created my new PURPOSE:  To be grateful, enjoy love, grow, contribute, and give passionately to others.

The fact of the matter is that even with this diagnosis, NEVER did I have a single thought of giving up on life and my dreams.  If you know me, you know that I have such a hunger to always reach a new level and will always give the effort to get to any outcome!

I took massive action and invested in myself by hiring a Tony Robbins coach to work on creating my coaching business.  I have attended strategic intervention coaching training, live self-help and business seminars and invested thousands of hours and dollars to expand my knowledge of being able to serve at the highest level.  My knowledge in wellness and health has advanced tremendously always looking for ways to have a healthier body with unlimited energy.  I am proud of not what I have accomplished, but rather the continued growth and passion to have a fulfilling life by giving to others.

I am so grateful for the support and prayers I have received from my wife, family, friends, and professional network.  They have given me the encouragement and inspiration to continue my journey.

My gift of life and new journey began on July 1, 2014.  I have been victorious in overcoming many obstacles in my life and business.  I am here with such JOY and have the incredible opportunity to support others to achieve their dreams.

On the other side of fear is opportunity, it takes courage and you have what it takes to get to your other side, your BETTER LIFE!
